The thing with Season
As a short introduction: In the summer of 2009, "Season" after 3 years set. The reasons and possible resuscitation you read here. The conversation took place in late March 2010 in Berlin with me and Ullrich Strong, the former deputy editor of "Season".

Strong : Where did the final decision to close off a season? Was the work on it too expensive?
Brümmer: was the end, it's not in the work that has me and you always made fun. I think at the end of the economic factor was very high. You know that we have never made money with season. That was rather a losing business. But it made us all so much fun. The effort was always worth it, which you could see the readership.
Strong: fact, it hurts to end season?
Brümmer: Yes .. that did it .. there are 3 great years with lots of interesting topics and a really great editing, wonderful writers and creative photographers. But it was only at the beginning of a pain .. the money factor was always larger. This went on not.
Strong: You said then: Either we win or die the magazine. That sounds very exaggerated, right?
Brümmer: No, no, that's right ... many authors have indeed noticed that the magazine was more successful and attracted considerable attention. They wanted it to be paid just as always, everyone thought that we would have to drop by our advertisers, but incredibly high profits. All bullshit. Worked without pay many-not all-very unproductive. I had to beg in part that the authors evaluate their texts but please before the deadline should have done. Many issues have been moved so yes, too. This has pissed me. Annoys me that today.
Strong: FIVECOR is the result from the fact that you are no longer the authors put out?
Brümmer: no no .. so that's not ... FIVECOR is the answer to the many letters to the editor, who said .. your pictures are fantastisch.von which I would like to see more. It was somehow logical ... the pictures are all there .. no author has long since tuned rumschreiben change .. .. all passé.
Strong: Meanwhile, there are 3 issues, the fourth is in production. A little tip .. what will it go?
Brümmer: I will not tell you. But we are planning this year, some cities spending and one on Russia. I'm looking forward to most. This is great.
Strong: What is the future FIVECOR?
Brümmer: course, there are many parallel issues .. we are working on new songs .. also an issue in "Season" style is to imagine ..
strength: So Season not completely dead?
Brümmer: Season will always .. let's see in what form.
I have received many emails lately by one wonders why there are no new editions of "Season". I hope that was here reasonably answered.
